Primepoint Brings Traceable Construction AI to the Field with New Autodesk Forma Integration

Primepoint’s Drawings-based First Pass for RFIs, Submittals, and Constructability Reviews Now Flows Into Forma Projects Field Crews Already Work From

SAN MATEO, Calif., Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Primepoint, a construction intelligence platform that primes and conducts the initial pass of drawings, has launched an integration with Autodesk Forma®, the first end-to-end, cloud-based, AI-native platform built for architects, engineers, contractors, and owners. The integration connects Primepoint’s first-pass review workflows with Autodesk Forma projects and is now available on the Autodesk® Design and Make Marketplace.

Primepoint’s review workflows help project teams plan and coordinate projects, navigate construction drawings with speed and precision, flag constructability issues early, and automate everyday workflows such as submittals, RFIs, and drawing reviews. Primepoint can ingest drawings and other documents directly from Autodesk Forma to power their AI reviews. Additionally, the new integration synchronizes Primepoint reviews with Autodesk Forma. For instance, Primepoint users can create RFIs or issues in Forma in one click directly from Primepoint, and Primepoint automatically posts submittal reviews to Forma. Primepoint is designed by by an expert team consisting of Lubomir Bourdev, founding member of Facebook AI Research who taught social media how to “see”, holds 100+ patents, 100,000+ citations, and a company acquired by Apple in 2023; Hamid Palo, a product expert who was formerly employee #5 at Trello and helped scale it to a global platform; and Kamran Azarbal, who spent more than a decade at Webcor, progressing from field engineer to project director on multi-billion dollar commercial projects.

AEC office teams spend their days moving between drawings, specs, and systems where work gets tracked, and losing details in the back-and-forth. By putting Primepoint’s drawing intelligence inside the Autodesk Forma projects field teams already use, the integration carries the reasoning across the work, so an RFI arrives with the sheet it came from.

“At Primepoint, we’ve designed the tool that I wish I had when I was with Webcor, Turner, and Swinerton,” shared Kamran Azarbal, VP of Strategy at Primepoint. “We launched Primepoint to help prime, prep, and cross-references your most chaotic project documentation with precision. We turn raw, unorganized project data into a fully primed, structured foundation of truth so your teams can act with confidence.”

Primepoint connects directly to a customer’s Autodesk Forma account and keeps work in sync both ways. Teams can draft RFIs and review notes in Primepoint that write back to their Forma projects only when a person approves them, so AI prepares the work and the team decides what gets recorded.

“We engineered Primepoint to solve this by pairing advanced vision systems with a localized construction knowledge graph to automatically map, interpret, and connect data across document sets,” said Lubomir Bourdev, CEO and Co-Founder of Primepoint. “Through computer vision models that establish cross-document topology, we allow teams to instantly reconcile specs, schedules, and drawings. Bringing this capability into Autodesk Forma, gives teams answers they can trust at the moment they need them.”

“Construction drawings are connected documents, a note on one sheet only makes sense against a schedule somewhere else,” said Hamid Palo, Co-Founder and CPO at Primepoint. “Primepoint reads the drawings set, allows teams to reconcile specs, schedules and sheets to each other, and traces every answer back to the document it originated from. Bringing that into Autodesk Forma means the first pass happens where the project already lives, and the team can check the work before anything gets recorded.”

"Construction drawings are basically a series of endless rabbit holes,” shared Zach Hunt, Senior Project Engineer at Fortis Construction. “You pull one thread and you're chasing information across dozens of documents. Primepoint changed that. Now everything is connected. I click on a drawing and the related documents are right there. It's the workflow I always wanted but didn't think was actually possible."

“AI in construction is most valuable when it helps teams make sense of project information while keeping teams in control of the decisions that matter,” said James Cook, director of industry & technology partnerships at Autodesk. “By integrating Primepoint’s drawing intelligence with the key information and workflows that builders trust to Autodesk Forma, teams can make more informed decisions and drive better project outcomes.”

Primepoint is SOC 2 Type II attested, with single-tenant data isolation for each customer and no training on customer data. The integration is free and requires an existing Primepoint account. It is now live on the Autodesk Design and Make Marketplace. Interested parties can request a demo at primepoint.ai/get-a-demo.
